labour market where the workforce will be smaller and older.<\/strong> <strong>At the same time fewer numbers of young people are entering the labour market.<\/strong> Strong population cohorts of &#8222;Hus\u00e1k&#8217;s children&#8220; (the specific generation of children born in the former Czechoslovakia during the 1970s, nicknamed after the communistic ruler of the time) are reaching older age levels. Increasing retirement age <strong>keeps more older people in the labour market.<\/strong> As the result, the ageing population must <strong>adjust its priorities and define new needs<\/strong>. One of the essential measures is to adjust the performance of work and the working environment to the ageing workforce.<\/p><p>Another phenomenon associated with ageing of the population will also have an impact on the amount of available workforce, namely <strong>the lack of infrastructure to meet the needs for the care of the elderly persons<\/strong>.
